Datakom Bc-5A-M 12/24 Volt Auto Select Smart Battery Charger Rectifier BC-5A-M series are very high efficiency and low cost, compact size and aluminum case battery charger rectifiers.
 The devices are designed to withstand high levels of electrical noise and impacts found in industrial environments.
 The chargers are malfunction-proof and have overload, short circuit, over-temperature and reverse battery connection protection.
 Overload protection is not "hiccup" but has a current limiting structure.
 Hiccup protected power supplies shut down and restart in case of overload.
 Therefore, it is impossible for them to charge an empty battery to full power.
 In case of overload or short circuit, BC-5A-M does not turn off, it keeps the current at nominal value and charges even the dead battery with full power.
 In case of overtemperature, the device reduces the output current and continues normal operation. Rectifiers automatically detect battery voltage.
 It can be used with 12V or 24V batteries without requiring any intervention and prevents human errors.
 BC-5A-M chargers have a wide input voltage range and operate in all countries with nominal mains voltage of 220-277V.
 Nominal output power is obtained without limitation in the entire voltage range between 170-305V. The devices have a “green” operating mode.
 “Green” mode lowers the operating frequency as the load decreases and reduces losses. Thus, the environmentally friendly features of the devices have been increased.
 At very low loads, the devices operate in stop-start (burst) mode, further reducing losses. The consumption of the devices when idle is very low.
 Thus, they contribute to the protection of the environment.
 The devices have a maximum efficiency of more than 91.5% and long-term operating costs are low. For example, BC-5A-M consumes 600kW-hours less energy than a 24V/5A rectifier that is 85% efficient, operates at 30% average load and has a 20-year lifespan.
 This means 60 USD lower energy consumption cost per rectifier. The fault output of the device is strong enough to drive the relay directly.
